I will produce any English language copy you require, for any purpose – website content, magazine and newspaper articles and features, publicity material, advertising copy – and always in the appropriate style or ‘tone of voice’.
All I need from you is the information source – the person to interview, perhaps; or the websites or publications to go to – plus the length of the final piece. Then leave it to me to do the rest…
Costs vary enormously, of course, depending on the amount of research required, but the basis is:
£20 per 1,000 words or an hourly rate of £40
EDITING SERVICES
The following rates are guidelines: exact charges depend upon the precise nature of the work. I can offer special rates for larger manuscripts, to negotiate a fixed price for the job, or to set the number of hours of work based on my hourly rate of £30.
Bronze level copy editing (proofing)
If your writing is already polished and just needs a final check, then this is what you need. The fastest service, it is ideal if you have a deadline looming.
Cost: from £10 per 1,000 words.
Silver level copy editing
This is the option to choose if you need more active editorial help in reworking your text. I will correct your manuscript and insert comments, along with  questions or suggestions for you to take further. Please contact me to discuss your precise requirements.
Cost: from £15 per 1,000 words.
Gold level editing for authors
As above, but the basic rate is lower as the word count is likely to be higher.

DESIGN for PRINT

Whatever you need in print form, I will do the design and layout, producing professional, print-ready artwork which you can take to your favourite print shop. Or I can arrange printing and delivery for you, if preferred – at very competitive rates.
Design costs vary enormously, of course, depending on the amount of work required, but I am happy to quote an individual price for the job. All prices are based around my hourly rate of £40.
Bronze level design and layout
This will be the level for you if all you need is a simple event poster, advertising leaflet or replacement business stationery. You have all the copy and images prepared, you pretty much know what you are after – all you need me to do is prepare the print-ready artwork, send you a draft to approve, and off it goes to the printer.
Cost: from £60.00 (excluding printing).
Silver level design and layout
This is the option to choose when your print requirement is a little more complex – a multi-page magazine or booklet, for instance. It may be that your content does not read all that well and could do with some ‘tweaking’. Or your images are not the best and you need help sourcing replacements. Perhaps you only have a rough concept of how you want the end result to look, and need professional help and guidance.
Cost: Quote per individual job, based on £40 per hour.
Gold level design and layout
This is the service where I do it all – copy edit or even write the content, source the images for you, and design your publication from scratch, consulting with you all the way to ensure it is exactly what you need.
Brand design and corporate ID also falls into this category – a new logo for your business, complete with change of stationery and renewed publications, for instance.
Cost: Quote per individual job, based on £40 per hour.

WEBSITE DESIGN AND BUILD
There are many and varied approaches to the business of building a website. I choose to use what I believe to be the best of the modular website building platforms because:
 • I am able to use my creative expertise without the need for complex and time-consuming coding
 • the site is fully SEO-optimised and mobile-friendly on completion
 • once built, you will be able to take over and update your own website if you would like to, with relatively little tuition from me
 • the site is easily extended as your organisation grows and develops.
Design and build costs here vary widely, of course, as there is a wide range of possibilities available in terms of user experience, navigation and functionality. They can start from a simple, one-page site, through to an all-singing, all-dancing online shop and booking system with online payment and SMS notification for your clients. Using this modular system, the choice is yours…
Bronze level design and build
A mobile-friendly, SEO-optimised, three-page site of any reasonable length, including images, banners, links and appropriate navigation. Fully hosted with a single domain name if not already owned.
Cost includes design & build, domain hosting, two email addresses and some ongoing support. Content and images to be supplied by client.
Monthly cost: from £26 (only £6 per week!)
Annual cost: from £275 paid in advance.
Silver level website
A mobile-friendly, SEO-optimised, multi-page site including images, banners, links and appropriate navigation. Fully hosted with a single domain name if not already owned.
Site can feature more pages and, consequently, more complex site navigation. Can also include:
 • increased functionality
 • enhanced user experience
 • more email addresses
 • guided-by-the-hand support.
Also for clients who need online booking with customer SMS notification and/or an online payment system, for example.
Cost includes design & build, domain hosting, required number of email addresses and guided-by-the-hand support. Content and images to be supplied by client – advice on content and image sourcing available if required.
Monthly cost – from £65 (just £15 per week!)
Annual cost – £750 paid in advance.
Gold level website
As you would expect, this is the all-singing, all-dancing version. The package includes everything from the Silver package, plus:
 • an unlimited number of pages
 • integrated e-commerce including full stock control and online accounting capability where required
 • pages added as and when needed
 • full telephone support (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, UK time).
A website limited only by your imagination… If you can imagine it, we can build it!
Cost includes design & build, domain hosting, any required number of email addresses and full telephone support. Content and images to be mainly supplied by client – editing of content and image sourcing available if required.
Monthly cost – from £208 (£48 per week).
Annual cost – £2,400 paid in advance.
